Westtown School
Science and Mathematics Center
The 16,300 square foot addition to the STEAM facility adds classrooms, six laboratories, storage spaces and offices, along with a digital media laboratory and a technology area. Renovations to the existing 20,000 square foot building features dedicated space for the school’s expanding Robotics and Engineering Program and more room for independent research by students.
LEED Gold certification incorporates elements such as a living roof, rainwater harvesting, geothermal heating and cooling, and additional photovoltaic cells. The building itself is a laboratory for learning. A dashboard located in the lobby displays the building’s real-time energy and water use.
