Marketing intern

HERA’s deep knowledge of laboratories and real appreciation of the subtleties of good lab planning go beyond the typical limits of architectural development. As architects and planners, we demonstrate a deep understanding of current laboratory trends, relevant issues and operational approaches that shape science environments. We help our clients respond to accelerating change and plan for the future. Founded in 1996, the firm is a certified Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE).

Status: Full-Time (summertime) with a hybrid schedule
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree program in marketing
As a marketing intern at HERA, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the intersection of architecture and marketing. You will work closely with our marketing team to develop and implement strategies that promote our firm’s brand, highlight our projects, and engage with our clients. This is an exciting growth opportunity for an energetic, self-starter to work with scientific clients across the country.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and submission process for RFQs and RFPs, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with requirements.
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral, including resumes, project sheets, and original technical narratives, to showcase the company’s capabilities and expertise.
  • Utilize creativity to enhance the visual appeal and readability of the newsletter format.
  • Write original news posts, articles, and blog posts for social media and/or the company website.
  • Working effectively in a collaborative environment, taking responsibility for accomplishing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Managing your own time and multi-tasking, while remaining organized on several projects at one time.

Experience & key qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in marketing, communications, business, architecture or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in marketing or a related field is desirable but not required.
