Health & Security Sciences Institute

This Health Sciences and Crisis Center will house nursing, pre-med and STEM programs as well as the new Security Science Institute, which is focused on law enforcement training. The center will help Lincoln University implement a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)-to-Registered Nurse (RN) program, increase enrollment in the current nursing program, and create a Master of Science in nursing program.

The 40,000-sf new construction and 22,000-sf renovation includes 18,000-sf of nursing program cover high fidelity nursing simulation labs, skills labs, immersive learning labs and support spaces. Additional laboratories include basic science labs for biology, chemistry and physics.

The Security Sciences Institute provides certification and licensing in five areas: law enforcement, cybersecurity, emergency management, geospatial information services and criminal justice. The center will provide virtual and real-world learning in collaboration with local and state entities, including an Emergency Operations Training Center.
