Auburn University at Montgomery

Science and Technology Complex Renovation

The renovation transforms a former Department of Public Health building into a state-of-the-art, hands-on learning and teaching building for the College of Sciences.

The two-story renovated building houses labs for biology and environmental science, chemistry, as well as the Geographic Information System (GIS) program. The laboratories are flexible and scalable, giving the university the ability to adapt to both short-term and long-term changes in pedagogy, curriculum needs, technology and more.

In addition to laboratories and support spaces, the building also houses specialty spaces such as holding rooms for behavioral testing and an NMR lab. Classrooms, offices and abundant collaboration space round out the program.
