The new undergraduate sciences facility comprises wet and dry teaching laboratories, research labs, classrooms, lecture halls, a tutoring center, a museum and offices. The new facility accommodates growth in majors including biology, environmental sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics, actuarial science and more. These programs complement HPU’s new graduate programs in physician assistant studies, pharmacy and future physical therapy program.
The building also houses specialty sciences spaces including a planetarium, conservatory, greenhouse, anatomy/cadaver lab, ecology lab, vivarium and maker space.
HERA reviewed a previously developed building program and worked with the University to right-size the program to avoid overbuilding. The right-sized program is saved High Point University millions of dollars.
