The New Mexico Department of Public Safety Forensic Laboratory and Evidence Storage has been named a Design Excellence Award winner by Lab Design News. The program honors achievements in research laboratory design, planning and construction.
The 42,000-sf new facility located in Santa Fe houses modern, future-proofed laboratories for chemistry, biology/DNA, latent print, firearms/toolmarks and instrumentation. Additional spaces include a 50-callibar shooting range and water tank; evidence processing and control; high-density evidence storage and a sally port and exam bay equipped with a ceiling mounted pantograph system.
