Senior Laboratory Planner Andrew Borkon, Assoc. AIA is deepening his involvement in the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) Arizona chapter and is now serving as vice president of the organization. He has been involved with the board since 2022, previously serving as education director. He will continue to support the education committee in addition to his new role. As vice president he will help guide the chapter to grow membership, create quality educational programming and espouse the view that all laboratories should be safe and sustainable.
I2SL is comprised of 19 chapters across the United States and abroad. HERA has deep commitments to the organization, having helped found the St. Louis and Georgia chapters.
