We have turned a new page at HERA. Over the past 22 years, we have provided laboratory programming, planning and design services, guiding lab projects from an architectural perspective and sometimes teaching a thing or two about engineering along the way. This month, HERA will begin offering conceptual engineering services to further enhance our lab planning expertise.
We start this new path with an old friend. Please join me and all the HERA Principals in welcoming William T. Freeman, PE, LEED AP to the firm. Bill will serve as both the firmwide Director of Engineering and Director of the DC Office.
What does this mean for you? Engineering and architectural partners will be aided right from project kickoff with our added knowledge about engineering systems and how they impact laboratory environments. Clients and end users will benefit from a coordinated planning effort.
HERA has no intention of becoming a full-service engineering firm; our conceptual engineering services will provide additional value and coordination for our clients and projects. Bill also brings strategic thinking to HERA, which will enhance our lab planning efforts. Initially, he will be supporting our work at National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and with the State of Georgia.
