Clayton High School
High School Science Addition/Laboratory Renovations
The science department renovation was just one portion of a much larger expansion and renovation of the overall existing Clayton High School. Key project goals included having a classroom laboratory for each science teacher, relocating all the science labs on one floor and providing connections from lab to lab in order to maintain and foster the open, connected relationship between the science disciplines, faculty and students.
The updated space now includes four chemistry and four biology labs that incorporate computer technology at the science stations, four physics labs with overhead support grid and light control for optics experiments, one forensics and one flex teaching laboratories, two physics project rooms, shared prep labs, plant growth room, chemical storage and science department offices. The project also included a biology greenhouse on the roof.
