Office of the Chief Medical Examiner
Forensic Biology/DNA Laboratory
New York, New York

The facility houses all modern crime lab functions—trace evidence, controlled substance, ballistic analysis, computerized forensic data bases, vehicle processing and the Crime Scene Mobile Response Unit. The three-story building was designed to have scientific laboratory and office wings on each floor. The laboratories meet ASCLD/LAB design guidelines for accreditation and the building won Southwest Contractor’s Arizona Best Mechanical Project Award.
