Currently in design documentation, this large-scale forensic science center includes: identification and fingerprint, computer crime, forensic photography, analytical chemistry, crime scene examination, latent comparison, arson and explosives, forgery and counterfeit, narcotics and tranquilizers, toxicology, firearms, toolmarks, trace, serology, alcohol, forensic biology/DNA, forensic medicine (Medical Examiner), histopathology, and autopsy. The Center also contains a new National DNA Database Center. The extreme environment called for several sustainable design features such as: extensive use of sun shading and sun control devices, demand controlled ventilation, and use of reclaimed water for irrigation.
