U.S. Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Service
Clark R. Bavin National Fish and Wildlife Lab Addition
Ashland, Oregon

Located on the campus of Southern Oregon State College, it is the only full service wildlife crime lab in the world. The laboratory specializes in investigating poaching and crimes against endangered species. The renovation and expansion more than doubles the facility’s size. Biosafety Level 2 and 3 containment suites are included for pathology and necropsy services for large mammals, birds, and reptiles from countries around the globe. Additional laboratories include units for toxicology, trace evidence, latent fingerprints, firearms and toolmarks, genetics, electronic media, and computer crime analysis.
